CHAIRMAN - SRINIVAS RAO
As founding Chairperson of the Gitanjali Group of Schools, Mr. P. Sreenivas Rao is on a mission to reimaging learning, bringing holistic and affordable education to the country. The extended mission is to provide exposure and opportunities to the school children that have so far been an entitlement just for the affluent. He is the visionary behind the success of Gitanjali Educational Institutions in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Ludhiana and Gurugram. He has a strong preference for working towards the creation of knowledge in specific areas. He is actively creating avenues to bridge the gap between the industry and academia by incorporating more application based courses wherein both the Universities can provide the companies with students who are ready to take on the responsibilities endowed upon them.
Mr. P. M Sreenivas Rao continues to be an inspiration around the world and his acumen will keep him at the pinnacle of success. His penchant for equity and access, a desire to abide by a value system and to stick to an ethical path has enabled him to earmark the name –Gitanjali, in the field of education.
He is leading a change as his progressive mind never stops hunting the needful information and opportunities to hug and execute with all openness in mind and heart. Thus, unfurling and playing a lead role in defining and determining the educational discourse.

The school provides a challenging academic environment emphasizing learning, as well as social and personal growth. Gitanjali International School strives to ensure wholesome participation in the extensive range of extra-curricular activities and care is taken to ensure the well-being and happiness of each and every student in the school.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” — Socrates. Keeping pace with the fast changing world is a new challenge. Besides the three R’s – Reading, Writing & Arithmetic, 21st century skills - the 4 C’s - Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication, and Collaboration have become necessary. The world around us is changing at very fast pace, creating disruptive changes and making things obsolete. In an era where we are heading towards technological Singularity, it becomes more important to review what is happening in our classrooms. The question is we preparing our children for the change? After lots of research, brainstorming, deliberations we have finally come up with a futuristic curriculum, which aims more at research and collaborative learning. The curriculum gives scope to the students to work in teams, solve problems, research, present and collaborate with the rest of the world. With a long and rewarding history of achievement in education behind us, our school community continues to move forward together with confidence, pride and enthusiasm.

I welcome you all to the world of education where student engagement refers to the degree of attention, curiosity, interest, optimism and passion that they show when they are learning or being taught, which extends to the level of motivation and progress in their education.
In Gitanjali International School, professional learning is relevant and we encourage open communication, sharing of best practices and expertise. The staff stays motivated to learn and to march ahead towards the goal. We together share a vision. Hence, we aim to create a new generation who are capable of doing things newly and differently rather than replicating the older generation’s ideas. Our Goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover. We carefully create the ambiance that would help a child grow into a complete human. Education is not about going to school and getting a degree. It is about widening your knowledge and absorbing the truth about life. An educated workforce is the foundation of every community and the future of every economy.

The school follows the CBSE syllabus integrated with the International Baccalaureate IB PYP Primary Years Programme from kindergarten to grade V.
